DIY Four in a row - Laser cut edition
thingiverse
I was eager to create a compact board game that could easily fit into my luggage for holidays. Now that it's complete, I'm excited to share it with you! Feel free to take it apart and assemble it yourself - I hope you'll have a blast making it. Perks: - The use of equations makes it easy to scale the model up or down. - Its compact design means it won't take up too much space. - No need to convert 2D drawings into AI files for standard versions. - It can be made from many different materials. The bill of materials is included, listing all the tools and wood needed to build this four-in-a-row game. Scaling: There are two ways to scale the model: one is by using Adobe Illustrator (or Inkscape), while the other involves editing the equations text file. To do this, look for a variable called "scale" in the file. If you choose to edit it manually, be sure to follow the tutorial found here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZrGLonrpt8&t=191s. Notes: - Please keep some room between the dividers and discs so they can slide smoothly. - You could either make the discs smaller with a grinder or add some oil to help them glide in more easily. If you're interested in purchasing one, please contact me through the GrabCAD messenger or leave a comment. I'd be happy to include custom engraving for an additional fee. The price will depend on the size and shipping costs - don't worry, I won't charge too much since I love building things!
