DIY Filament Dehydrator
thingiverse
This project is based on numerous DIY tutorials and articles about converting a food dehydrator into a 3D filament dryer. The extension collar is specifically designed for use with the Rosewill Countertop Dehydrator, which bears a striking resemblance to the PrintDry Drying System's dehydrator. DIY guides often recommend cutting out the grids from the stacking rings to make room for filament spools. However, I initially planned to follow this approach when purchasing the dehydrator, but after using it to recharge used desiccant packets, I decided to keep the grids intact. After conducting some measurements and test prints, as well as applying glue, I came up with a new design. This design allows two reels to fit within the dehydrator while utilizing the grids simultaneously for recharging desiccant packets. By printing additional collars, it is possible to accommodate more than two reels.
