I'm in need of a trusty auger to tackle the task of digging holes for planting trees, so I've cobbled together this makeshift machine. Its design demands that it's towable, allowing me to get where I need to go with ease. Once I've given it a thorough assessment, I'll get started on building it from scratch. The required hydraulic motor will need to pack around 250 Nm torque to handle the task of turning a 300 diameter auger through relatively soft soil. Feedback and suggestions are more than welcome!
