DIY Electronic Load Enclosure

DIY Electronic Load Enclosure

This is an enclosure that I designed for an electronic load that I've built on a piece of perfboard a while ago.

It has mounting holes for two banana plugs, a power jack, a multi-turn wirewound potentiometer and a panel meter. There are also 3 mounting holes on the bottom for the circuit board and place for an optional 40mm fan on the side.

Print instructions

It is a good idea to not print this out of PLA, even if you install a fan on the side of the unit. Because the dissipated heat from the heatsink may cause it to deform.

The enclosure is designed on FreeCAD and the design file is also available for download, so you can do pretty much any change you want. The same design with some modifications can be used for many electronics projects, not just for a DIY electronic load.
