DIY Dremel CNC Spindle Carriage Notched
thingiverse
The objective of this remix is to enable the spindle carriage to traverse past the leadscrew coupler on the X axis. This will provide an additional inch wide strip's worth of workable area along the length of the work surface. In addition to the notch, other modifications include: * Enlarging the mounting holes for the linear rails by 1.66%. This change was made in response to previous tolerance issues that consistently resulted in breakage. * Adding four loops to the underside of the carriage. These loops are designed to accommodate a ziptie, which will keep the linear rails from falling into the work area if they vibrate downward. Although this concern may be unfounded, STLs with and without these loops have been included (V1=no loops, V2=loops).
