DIY Doorlight
thingiverse
This is my fully automated lighting solution for every front entrance. The housing consists of five different parts and is quite modular in its design. In the middle of the housing, a HC SR501 motion sensor with built-in LDR is located. Inside the housing, a charging board with voltage converter for a 18650 lithium cell provides sufficient energy. Two 30cm LED strips are installed across the entire width, slightly offset from each other. This ensures good lighting of the door - especially the lock - and the area in front of the door. I use magnets as attachment, which are attached to the back of the lamp and then stick to a metal plate above the door. If there is interest, I can provide a circuit diagram and detailed information on how to build your own.
