Here are some guidelines for calculating the length of roundwood needed based on the desired length of your finished arrow: For a 17" long arrow, you will need approximately 13" (43/33 cm) of roundwood. For a 20" long arrow, you will need around 16" (51/41 cm) of roundwood. For a 22" long arrow, you will need roughly 18" (56/46 cm) of roundwood.
