DIY at-home mask for Coronavirus flu/virus protection
thingiverse
Here's a simple ear clip that can be quickly printed with PLA, 15%, and used to fasten a fabric as a partial barrier for Virus transmission/spread. Elastics, tie wraps, even tape would work well. Size the fabric to get the best fit, approximately 10-11 inches. In my picture below, I find an upper and lower fold allows the fabric to cover the chin and fill the space between the nose and cheek bones effectively. Below is a link to a great site which has fairly robust tests to show that even something as common as a T-shirt can prevent up to 70% of 0.02 Micron particulars versus 89% surgical masks. However, all of the homemade materials managed to capture 50% or more of virus particles.
