DIY 3M like masc foldable
thingiverse
Final version of my 3M like mask foldable designed for maximum efficiency. Twenty-one prototypes were created and tested in real-world situations to optimize every aspect of its design. All you need are elastic bands and scissors to adapt the mask to your unique face shape. Test results include: Safety coefficient tests to improve areas with high resistance Clip resistance testing Mounting tests to balance fixation strength and flexibility Validation: I wore it for three days, two hours a day. Be cautious when folding the mask for the first time, following these steps: Fold the bottom slowly Fold the top parts easily Fold vertically into two parts, moving slowly Fix the nose as shown in the pictures; folding the nose in half makes it easier Adjust the mask to fit your face shape Once securely fixed, this mask is surprisingly resistant. The large model size can be reduced by up to 10% using Cura. I will update the STL file for smaller versions if requested. I strongly recommend filling the front filters with cotton or activated charcoal/cotton/filter material. It takes only five minutes to adapt the mask. The holes on the mask are arranged in a 2x2 mm grid; I can modify this design if requested.
