DIY 3D Printer: Gem Maker v2
thingiverse
I decided to rebuild my home-built 3D printer, the Gem Maker v1 and I really like Prusa's sturdy design. So I built my own but only using 1x1 inch square tubings as a frame. I really wanted to use aluminum extrusions but they are not accessible at my place. Currently I am using 8mmx300mm linear rods and a cold bed (glass). In the future I will be using longer rods and a heated bed. The design features a direct drive extruder setup, uses a servo for bed levelling, and you can expand the working area by replacing longer linear rods. If you built this thing, please post a make. Also, do not hesitate to ask me some questions. Thanks! UPDATE: December 27, 2019 - I added servo_arm.stl
