DIY 3D Printer filament storage vacuum pump
prusaprinters
I've been using vacuum bags for a few years to store 3D printing filament and protect it from moisture. Some people use dehydrators and other dryers to store filament. I really like Airlock vacuum bags, they're pretty tough and last a long time. I started using vacuum bags with a manual pump but its hard work. The Airlock electric pump is really good but it'd would be awesome if it was faster. So thought I'd have a go a building a more powerful vacuum pump.YouTube video of the build and pump in action Printing:No supports requiredI printed in PETG0.2mm layer height UPDATE 2 Feb 2024 - More space and larger cable holes added to lid and motor case. 2 new updated files added. Thanks Gino.
