DIY 3D printed PAPR blower
thingiverse
Still a work in progress, but feel free to take what works and run with it so that usable products can reach the people who need them I need to refine the wheel and probably scale the whole thing back down to 2" or so in order to get maximum rpm out of the small motor. This sized blower would probably work well with a 12V RC hobby or drill motor. I know that anything that works well becomes scarce and I hope that anyone who can print a fidget spinner can print a working PAPR system. This design uses: 1 608 bearing 1 5v DC motor 1 filter media of your choice. Applying power means that less breathable filtration media becomes more useful 1 clear document cover for the faceshield 1yd of homewrap tyvek or similar material to construct a hood The long neck with the hole was intended for wearing on a necklace under a hood. However, testing with the dinosaur costume blower showed mounting on top of the head is less bothersome. Ideally, the finished system should not require a belt pack and hose because I can't find a good sized nice flexible hose anywhere locally right now.
