Dixit Box Insert

Here is Version 3 of my attempt to print a storage solution for Dixit, the board game by Libellud. This was printed on my 6" Printrbot (the ItsyBitsyPrintsy), so it should be small enough for those of us with smaller printers. It prints in 12 pieces. Left side and right side each have 5 slanted pieces with bottoms and stabilizing walls, and an additional piece in which to store player tokens. The space between each slat is meant to hold 84 cards, unsleeved. There is a little bit of a gap, so if you have the promos, you can probably finagle a couple extra cards in each slot. This version has left and right copies, so the stabilizing wall is against the cardboard and all the cards are facing the same direction. Depending on preferences, you can just print one side's version twice and flip them so the cards are slanted in opposite directions. I had to print the Token holders with "Combine everything(type-a)" unchecked in Cura > Expert Settings > Fix horrible. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Printrbot Simple Metal Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Notes: For the Player pieces - I had to uncheck the "Combine Everything(type-A)", something I couldn't see and was driving me nuts trying to figure out what was causing the main cavity to print solid. How I Designed This I started with the box of Dixit and some expansions, a piece of graphic paper, the BGG articles for card counts (on expansions I don't have), a ruler, calipers, and a pencil! Then I translated the sketches into Sketchup and made slight adjustments. This design has definitely evolved a bit, so at the moment I have pictures of printed pieces for Version 2, but Version 3 STLs. Originally I had just the insert for player pieces, and the three pieces to store cards (front, middle x3 and back) with a stabilizer/divider on the left only. It was also about a millimeter too high, and it made the box close awkwardly, which is kind of a big deal for most board gamers (I know I don't have space for extra mms on some shelves, and it could also, in theory, damage the box.) Also, the actual folded board had some issues fitting properly. I fixed a couple small size issues, and hopefully took out some of the bulk (I had the bottom 2mm thick, which was kind of thick and heavier, and used too much filament. Crazy, right?) I am in the middle of reprinting it, so I will post pictures of the finished Version 3 once it's done, but for now, like I said, it's pics of Version 2, just to give a general visualization. OH! I also duplicated the 3 card holding pieces, and switched the stabilizer to the opposite side, which I like aesthetically, for everything to store facing one direction, instead of opposite directions, as pictured for Version 2.
