A buddy of mine is absolutely hooked on dividers, much like the author behind this blog post: https://bigjumppress.wordpress.com/2014/09/30/divide-my-heart-an-ode-to-my-favorite-tool/. I took LoboCNC's awesome print in place compass and modified it to measure and transfer distances instead of drawing circles. It was a breeze to mirror the pointed end in Openscad, making both arms perfectly symmetrical. The only thing I can think of that would improve this tool is adding holes for sewing pins or something so that it can actually stab through papers rather than just indenting them.
