As the guy stuck with maintaining our communal driveway's gate (how? why?) I was getting tired of dealing with water ingress into our keypads.

So I did what any self-respecting 3D printer guy would do - designed this shroud to keep the keypads out of the rain.

With a sloped roof (and drainage channels behind the keypad if any water makes it into the enclosure via the screw holes), this has worked beautifully - without sacrificing visual accessibility!

6mm screw-holes line up with the keypad unit casing - just screw the keypad directly into the post of your choice, through the holes, holding the shroud in place.

Additional 6mm hole located above the keypad, if you need additional screw-support into your post.

Print is designed to print with:

two walls

0.3mm layer height

0.4mm nozzle

Highly recommend printing in PETG, or any other UV-resistant filament.

Print flat side down, no supports required.

You can expect some slight bowing on the walls, but doesn't effect the final product in a negative way.

For DITEC AXK4 and AXK4P

https://www.ditecautomations.com/en/products/gate-automation-garage-and-industrial-doors-automation/accessories/controls/radio-digital-combination-keypad
