Ditan - Dual Drive Geared Spring Loaded Extruder
thingiverse
This is the Ditan Extruder. It's an Dual Drive (D) Titan clone. It's 3:1 geared, spring loaded and dual gear driven for maximum torque and grip. This version is only for 1.75mm filament version. This project was inspired by the Pitan and Drakon extruder. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2728600 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2172854 Both are really great in design and function. I liked the sleek design, but missed one thing to make the perfect extruder... dual drive gears like the Bondtech gears. I tried to keep it as compact as possible. For assembling you will need the following parts: a set of dual drive gears like this one Original: https://www.bondtech.se/en/product/drivegear-kits/ or also Knockoff: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1Set-3D-Printer-Accessories-MK2-MK3-Cloned-Btech-Dual-Gears-DIY-Kit-Steel-Pulleys-Kit-3D/32919247944.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4d8xvDgL 1x M5x45 hex bolt, 2x M5 Nut or at least 1x M5 lock nut, 2x M5 washers (5,3x10x1), 1x M4x16 hex socket (Allen) or philips bolt, 1x M4 Nut, 3x M3x40 hexagon socket (Allen) or philips bolt (at least two and one can be M3x30), 3x M3 Nut, 3x M3x10 or M3x12 hexagon socket (Allen) bolt (depends on the thickness of the extruder mount and the motor), 1x Spring 7.5x20 (usually bed springs similar to Ultimaker springs), 2x 625ZZ ball bearings, 1x PC4-01 pneumatic coupler with M10 thread, and some PTFE tube. The extruder is also designed to be used as a direct extruder... the bowden coupler can be also replaced with a standard v6 heat sink, which should fit directly into.
