I was able to fix my Zonestar triple extruder three color hotend 3-IN-1-OUT with PTFE built-in tubes. None of the original tubes were the same length, and two were even too short. This meant that the print head wasn't tight, and molten filament could easily push up into the print head. It's no wonder things went wrong, as they did. The printer head ended up completely clogged. After a lot of hard work and research, I discovered that the tubes should be 50mm - 50.5mm long to fit correctly. They have to be precise so that the fittings push down on the pipes tightly without bending them. That's where "Distance Meter PTFE for Tube Z9M3 Hot End" comes in – it helps me get the pipe length exactly right and the same. To succeed, place the tube in the holder and push it all the way up to the end. Then cut it off at the other end, making sure the knife follows the holder. I've made three lengths: 50.25mm, 50.50mm, and 50.75mm. If it's exactly 50mm, the fittings won't press down hard enough to hold tight. Filament can also shrink a bit during printing, and that varies from filament type to type. To easily keep the tube in place, insert a small piece of filament into the holder's hole and gently melt it together. Have fun!
