Distance Learning Desk Organizer

Distance Learning Desk Organizer

thingiverse

This design is intended to provide students with a platform to help with at-home organization so that they will be prepared for teacher instruction during distance learning. The layout and structure is designed to keep everything in one place so everything is easily accessible and never lost. Included in this prototype is a pencil cup, sticky-note holder, cup holder, and an iPad & book stand. The biggest issue I came up against while designing this was the size of my design. Most 3D printers are not going to have a 2' by 3' printing block, but each part of the design can be removed from the tray and printed on its own. If I could redesign this, I would definitely create something that normal 3D printers would be capable of printing. I would try to create something that can be printed in multiple stages or parts because I believe that larger things have more opportunities for innovation and creativity. Printing this design out (a specific feature or if possible, the entire thing) would help strengthen my design because it would turn a 3D model into a tangible object. I would be able to fix any flaws that I can find as I test its structural integrity, usability, and functionality.
