Distagon f/4 40 mm C lens hood

I recently purchased a Hasselblad 40mm C f/4 and I'm absolutely thrilled with it! Medium format cameras and lenses are my passion, and this lens is no exception - it's sharp, works exceptionally well, and built to last. Weighing in at 1.375kg ~3lbs, it's a bit of a beast, but that's what makes it so impressive. I've been eager to shoot with it, but the lack of a filter was holding me back. I wanted to design a custom lens hood that I could print and mount on my camera. It needed to fit a B104 filter and hood, which means bayonet 104mm diameter! After some research, I discovered a rubber lens hood designed for this specific camera model, but I couldn't find one for sale or borrow for reference. Using pictures of the lens and measurements from a B60 lens hood I already own, I created a CAD design. The Flickr link below shows a nice image of the same lens as mine - http://flic.kr/p/cifyDh. Just print the lens hood, attach it to your camera, and enjoy! Update 8/27/2013: Printed version in ABS is very sturdy; pictures to come soon. I increased the bayonet diameter fit, which was too snug. Final version! Update 8/1/2013: Thickened the bayonet ring. Tweaked Baynote diameter. Still tuning the maximum rotation. Update 8/1/2013: Tweak to the hood diameter; it was still a little too big. Thickened the material around the bayonet mount for added durability. Update 7/30/2013: Added a taper to the lens hood, making it stronger and more representative of the original rubber version. Changed the bayonet mount to a friction/interference fit instead using faux detents. Fixed hood diameter; previous version was too big. Disclaimer: I have not printed this on a RepRap or Makerbot yet; I have access to a Stratsys Vantage that uses water-soluble support material.
