Disposable Sharps Container
thingiverse
The SD Card box by 678sebas has been a really useful thing for me and I've remixed it into a bunch of different objects using OpenSCAD. This is a disposable container for finger-stick sharps used to take blood glucose levels. I made this for my spouse who was recently diagnosed pre-diabetic and now has to monitor her blood sugar every day. There are 3 main parts here: - The bottle - An internal lid to contain the needles - A screw-top cap with an optional "SHARPS" text inset into the cap. The text is a separate object so it can be positioned and adjusted within your slicer if you have a multi-nozzle printer. The OpenSCAD code expects to find the original *678sebas* models in the same directory it is in, otherwise you'll get "can't find model" errors. You can also fix this by filling out the path more completely in the import() statement. Printed in PLA so it's no great loss when it fills up and you have to toss it.
