This is a powered turntable that can be used to display a small object or model, or to take video footage, resulting in a complete 360° view of the item. In addition to the printed parts, I utilized the following equipment: A stepper motor and drive board connected me to an Arduino pro mini. The power supply was managed by a buck converter, which also included mini toggle switches for control. To adjust the speed, I used a 10KΩ linear potentiometer in conjunction with a 10KΩ resistor. Powering the system was facilitated through a panel mount DC jack connected to an AC to DC power supply. Stability was provided by a 608ZZ bearing secured with small self-tapping screws. A section of prototyping stripboard allowed me to make all the necessary connections for the components quickly and easily. The webpage that guided me in creating the code to control the stepper motor speed also included information on how to add a direction change switch, which I tweaked to reverse the motor's direction. The wiring schematic and code for the Arduino are available in the "Documents Attached" section below. To ensure smooth rotation, items must be placed precisely in the center of the turntable, as any deviation may cause wobble on the top section.
