Display stand for 9mm scale N track model trains

Display your trains, showcasing those models you've always envisioned but never had room, time, or resources to build a model railroad for. Put them on display with pride! Initially designed for three layers, this project can easily expand to more without significant challenges. Two fundamental questions sparked the idea: 1. Can I craft a vase-mode model that's both feasible and aesthetically pleasing? 2. How can I showcase my trains while minimizing dust accumulation? The outcome is a 23cm half-open tunnel-like structure perfectly accommodating N-gauge tracks, allowing trains to be displayed with pantographs extended and models visible from the side. The choice of 23cm was deliberate, considering that a double-length straight track (Fleischmann) measures 22.2cm, and with couplers on both ends, the full length reaches 23cm. When linking six tracks together, I didn't anticipate the total gallery length wouldn't match the full track length; my apologies for this oversight. View the photos to see my display in action. My entire collection (modest as it may be) is on display, with two cars from the Eurostar and one German DB passenger car being the only exceptions.
