Display stand
prusaprinters

I have a growing collection of old gadgets that I wanted to be able to display (instead of throwing them all away). So i created a universal display stand. Customize it to show your gadgets name and year of production. To do that, please install OpenSCAD on your own computer and follow the customizing instructions on this thing page.

If you could take a picture of an actual print, please "comment" and attach the picture. - I am curious to see your uses in the wild!

You can customize:

The size of the gadget/object to display. The stand will automatically adjust to support the object well. Inside the OpenSCAD file you will find the sizes of quite some gadgets.

The text on the front. I put the year when the gadget went to the market in there as well

The font. Nice is e.g.: "Pathway Gothic One", "Voltaire" or "Oswald".

The rotation angle of the display stand

An extra factor to make the display wider or less wide than the item to display. By default, the stand in 75% of the width of the object shown.

You can shift your font up/down on the front

Wether to put in holes to save material
Included are .stl files for displays for older electronic gadgets: NTT DoCoMo eggy, Game Park GP32, Cowon A2, Sharp Power Zaurus MI-610DC, Sharp Zaurus SL-C700, Palm Zire 71, Palm Treo 650, Palm Treo 680, Canon Ixus II, Nintendo Game Boy Advance,Nintendo DS lite, Chumby, HP-42S, Garmin Dakota 20, HTC Desire Z, Dingoo Digital A320, Panasonic GH2, Retrogame RS97, Texas Instruments TI-74 and MobiBLU MP3 player.
You can find the settings for these gadgets also inside the .scad file as a comment.

Other models

If you like it, please have a look at all my customizable creations.
