I had a common problem with display showing gibberish and button pressing itself, as author of original spacer. But that spacer doesn't isolate display properly, display still stay connected thru bolts, so i redesigned it, now everything isolated properly and my display has no interference problems so far. Also two additional M3 bolts needed to attach display to the frame.
