While my Caesar Cipher decoder ring (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:14891) is intricate, this project focuses on a simple substitution cypher. It's based on the Ring-A-Thing design. After completing it, I discovered images of vintage radio show decoder rings. Although not identical, my creation can decode and encode messages like the one below: 2 5 19 21 18 5 20 15 4 18 9 14 11 25 15 21 18 15 22 1 12 20 9 14 5! To enhance the experience, I've added a facedown version of the letter disk without sloping inside and a blank version as well. However, users must create their own 2D printable letter disks for filling in. For easier printing, I've also included a png file suitable for paper cutting (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17645) with an outer ring measuring 37mm. As always, I'm here to help! Detailed instructions: print one disk piece and one sized-to-finger ring. Assemble by placing the peg in the ring first, followed by the disk and dial. Note that this design requires high detail printing, which may not be possible on a standard FFF 3D printer.
