This component was designed to catch any spills that might occur if the dishwasher water and waste were to back up out of the vent, which can happen often and previously went unchecked. This is an essential preventive measure in case a clog occurs again, allowing for cleanup until it can be properly addressed at a later time. 1.574 inches Minor Inside Diameter 2.173 inches Inside Height 1.824 inches Major Inside Diameter with 0.125 inches nut lip height Approximately 0.94 inches from the Minor Inside Diameter to the Outside Spout.
