Dishwasher utensil basket bottom

We recently acquired a brand-new KitchenAid dishwasher, and we quickly discovered that small fragments had broken off at the bottom of the utensil wash basket. These loose pieces allowed spoons and forks to fall through, causing the slide-out bottom to jam. To avoid purchasing an entirely new basket, I designed this repair mesh specifically to fit inside each of the eight compartments. This simple solution requires one mesh piece per compartment and ensures a snug fit.
