Dishwasher Impeller

Dishwasher Impeller

thingiverse

This is a replacement for a Maytag type dishwasher wash/rinse impeller. It is to be printed in 2 parts, top & bottom, and then crazy glued together. Best to print it using PETG because it gets hot inside the dishwasher and I don't think PLA would hold up. If the keyed hole doesn't quite fit your dishwasher shaft then do what I did. I used a small heat gun to slightly soften the PETG at the keyed area and then pushed it onto the shaft of the dishwasher. Then I removed it and now it has the exact size. I have this in my dishwasher now and so far it has survived a couple of heavy cycles. Print Settings: (support only in the center for the shaft hole) layer height = 0.4mm top layers = 5 bottom layers = 4 perimeters = 5 print speed = 30mm/s, outer perimeter at 70% extrusion width = 0.8mm, nozzle = 0.4mm bed temp = 90'C Hot end temp = 230'C
