Disentanglement Puzzle

This is my take on a timeless rope and ring disentanglement puzzle. The objective is to isolate the ring (the light-hued one) from the puzzle strings. Like most disentanglement puzzles, the solution isn't obvious at first glance. Can you decipher it just by looking at the pictures? If not, check out the video for the answer.
