Discus thrower
myminifactory
The discus throw is a track and field event where athletes compete to throw a heavy frisbee called a discus the farthest distance possible. This ancient sport has been around for thousands of years, as evidenced by the famous fifth-century-BC Myron statue Discobolus. Although it's no longer part of the modern pentathlon, it was once one of the events that made up the ancient Greek pentathlon, which dates back to at least 708 BC.
