Discovery Rear Work Light

Discovery Rear Work Light

From the original designer 1tom: Just a quick, rough design for mounting a pair of work or off-road reverse lights on a Land Rover Discovery II. Wires are fed into the existing hole at the top of the door and run through the existing wire tube. I needed a mechanism to mount the lights on the rear door without causing permanent damage (no drilling holes or using glue). This only requires removing a rubber plug from an existing hole in the top of the door to feed the wires through the door. The mounts are secured by a hook and then attached to the door with self-adhesive industrial strength low-profile Velcro to prevent them from sliding around. Printed in ABS, I'll see how long they last. Ideally, I'd create a better design, print it at higher quality, and paint it... but these mounts hold $7 lights from Amazon (Nilight 18W 4" floodlights) in place with a 1/4-20 x 1/2" stainless bolt and nylock nut that holds the light to the mount.
