Discovery One User Experience Improvements
thingiverse
This is a series of enhancements for metaform3d's impressive Discovery One model. The primary issue with that model was that numerous components had to be bonded together in concert, a process that only works seamlessly when all parts are fully assembled. A few strategically placed tabs and slots would greatly simplify the construction process. The main Core modules along the spine now feature a tab and slot system to streamline alignment of these pieces. The Rear sections can now fit snugly into the brackets without sliding, allowing you to assemble those components before adding the top and bottom. The nuts for the Core now securely fit into new slots. These upgrades should significantly facilitate construction. I have updated several parts in order to simplify the assembly process without compromising the ease of printing this model.
