Disconnect switch operator
thingiverse
I purchase these disconnect switches from McMaster Carr at http://www.mcmaster.com/#7277k53. In the first image, the original parts are positioned in the center. The same is true for the second image. The third picture showcases my printed components seamlessly fitting into the original parts. Due to a lack of red filament, I printed them black and yellow instead. Users frequently insert items into the housings and end up breaking them. It's not possible for me to buy just the plastic operator and housing; I have to purchase the entire switch assembly. Consequently, I decided to print my own operator and housing to replace the original parts. They are sufficiently accurate to be interchangeable with the original components. There is a 6mm square hole in the operator that accepts a 6mm square shaft. I deliberately omitted adding a tapered corner to this square hole, allowing me to orientate the square shaft freely.
