DISC PLATE is a part of disc brake where on either side of disc plate there will be friction pads which are hold in position by brake calipers.
Whenever you apply brake, the hydraulic fluid presses the friction material against disc plate.As it is coupled to wheel, wheel comes to rest when brake is applied.
