Disc Golf - Measuring Device
thingiverse
A free-rotating device for attaching a string to the pole of standard disc golf baskets. Long-lasting (but not permanent) solution for measuring the distance between a players disc to the basket and easy to attach/detach before/after your club's occasional competitions. -String- I'm currently using a 10m non-stretchy nylon string tied between the device and [Handle.stl], I would prefer to have a 10-15m retractable and lockable string attached to the loop, but I haven't found a suitable solution yet. A flexi leash for pets would work, but it wouldn't be consistent with the overall look I'm going for... unless its possible to remove the cover and design something around the mechanism inside. -WARNING- [Pin.stl] is press fitted through the bottom of [Frontside.stl] and [Lock.stl]. You probably won't get it out after you've pushed it all the way in (at least not without scratching/destroying the parts surrounding it), it's well hidden in there. So, be very careful not to push [Pin.stl] all the way through when you're testing [Lock.stl]'s fitting until you're completely satisfied with it. Can be strengthened even more with a bit of glue if needed. -UPDATE- Added 3 files for a spool that both store/hides the string and holds the handle. Steps on the top and bottom hold it in place within the device when not mounted on a baskets pole.
