Disc Golf LED/Battery Holder (For Glow Rounds)
thingiverse
A device to store your Glow Round LED's securely, keeping the LED and battery setup ready to go at all times. This ensures the LED is protected from accidentally staying lit or shorting to other LED's or batteries. The LED's used are 3mm in size, while the batteries employed are 2025 button cells. LED's offer a superior way to illuminate your disc for glow rounds, making them far more visible than glow disks, which often fail to last long and can be difficult to find after they land. LED's shine brightly both in flight and on the ground, providing excellent visibility. To assemble this device, you attach the LED assembly to the disc using clear tape. For translucent discs, place the LED/battery holder in the middle of the underside; for opaque discs, position one on each side. Gorilla clear duct tape or Frost King Weather Seal tape (clear) work best for securing the assembly. Begin by placing an LED over the battery, straddling its leads. Then, use a small round sticker to attach the LED to the battery, ensuring a secure bond. The stickers fit perfectly and come in handy for this purpose. When attaching the assembly to the disc, place the round sticker side next to the disc and cover it with clear tape on the non-sticker side of the LED/battery. This prevents the sticker from being removed when taking the device off the disc. You can find 26 LED Disc Golf Lights on eBay by searching for this term. I also used garage sale stickers and a project box, which I found at Dollar Tree. If you purchase batteries from Amazon, be cautious of counterfeit products; instead, opt for genuine Sony batteries with a use-by date of up to nine years from First Choice Online.
