Disc Detainer Pick V2
thingiverse
This is the third version of my Disc Detainer (DD) pick. This version is based on the amazing Silver Bullet tool created by Matt Smith, also known as HuxleyPig. If you're looking for a professional-grade tool for DD lock removals, check out his tool at https://silverbullet.tools/. The design and construction of this tool are significantly simpler than my first attempt and require: For the standard version: - A 3D printed tensioner - A 3D printed manipulator - A standard M4 nut - An M4 screw of your choice, I'm using a 20mm screw, but you can also use an M4 grub screw if you prefer it doesn't stick out - A 5mm OD x 2 or 3mm ID stainless steel capillary tube (available for $2 on Aliexpress) - A standard M3 nut - An M3 grub screw - A 6mm x 2mm "Plastic Injection Component" ($0.50 on Aliexpress), also known as an Injector Pin For the 6mm version: - A 3D printed 6mm tensioner - A 3D printed 6mm manipulator - A standard M4 nut - An M4 screw of your choice, I'm using a 20mm screw, but you can also use an M4 grub screw if you prefer it doesn't stick out - A 6mm OD x 2 or 3mm ID stainless steel capillary tube (available for $2 on Aliexpress) - If you cannot find a 2 or 3mm ID tube, you will need to get a 4mm inner diameter tube and another 4mm OD x 2mm ID tube (this is what I did) - A standard M3 nut - An M3 grub screw - A 6mm x 2mm "Plastic Injection Component" ($0.50 on Aliexpress), also known as an Injector Pin See the assembly instructions in the next section.
