I position my desktop on a table to direct exhaust air in a specific direction just like I'm doing now.\r\n\r\nNoise levels have decreased by approximately 3 decibels when idle, as measured with my smartphone at ear level, and by about 6 decibels under load. Plus, heat is no longer dumped near my face, which is definitely an improvement.
