Direct (non-bowden) extruder for Ultimaker

Direct (non-bowden) extruder for Ultimaker

The Ultimaker Original extruder enables printing with flexible filaments like Filaflex and Ninjaflex. It replaces the bowden tube with direct mounting on the head for better flexibility. Although still a work in progress, it is functional and yields good results at 25mm/min speed. The design derives from popular "Greg's-Wade's-Taylor's-Someone's extruder" with the use of original Ultimaker stepper motor. It is mounted on top of the moving head without disconnecting the sensor or heater. However, the small ADC board requires a suitable mounting place.
