I discovered that the axis was somewhat undersized, but fortunately there was sufficient space to lengthen the bushings supporting the bearings slightly. Moreover, owing to subpar manufacturing quality and a severely bent Chinese-made axis lacking linearity, one bearing gave way under stress. To bolster its integrity, I have reinforced the x, y, and motor mounts together. Update 31-3-2016 I have appended direct_motor_mount_X_Y_Rear-L_super_combo_v1.4.stl to enhance stability and performance. It lacked a crucial hole necessary for securing a screw, and its dimensions were too small to fit snugly over the extrusion profile once printed.
