Once I've encountered the issues that the Bowden system presents, I've switched to direct extrusion. It's simple and straightforward to set up. I'm now using a Dual Drive Extruder in conjunction with a Hot end Volcano V6 from Triangle Lab. Make sure you have the latest version of "Support for Horizontal Volcano V6 and Dual drive Extruder Trianglelab_V1" dated May 1, 2019. The only difference between this new version and the old one is that it includes four holes at M3 for securing the guide chain gate. Take a look at the drawing. If you're interested, I've designed a spool holder that's available here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3520179 I've also created a cable guide chain design that can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3598608
