Direct Drive Titan and Air manifold Print cooler for Zyltech Gear V3
thingiverse
I am switching the original Bowden extruder on my Zyltech Gear V3 to a direct Drive E3D Titan extruder & V6 hotend. There should be enough room behind the motor to have the M5 Locknuts for the wheels on the extruder side of the carriage plate. I cut the metal back on my Z/X axis plates so I cut put locknuts on either side. I needed that for the clone Bondtech extruder which didn't work for me. I have now switched to a genuine E3D Titan extruder. There is both a short & long version of the air cooling manifold. The long version gives more gap between the mount and the warm hotend wires if you run the wires the between the hotend & the air cooler mount like I did. The fan used here is a 5015 radial duct fan. I included 6 STL files. The **X-Car_WireGuide.stl** & **WireFrameFlatMount.stl** I used for routing my wires to the controller board. Depending on how your route your wires, you may not need these. I also included a step file so you can see how the parts go together. I have used a similar design on another printer which works good, but haven't yet tested this on the Zyltech printer.
