direct drive tab for tpu on an Ender 3 v2
cults3d
Hello, I recently modeled and tested a tab to make a creality Ender 3 v2 a direct drive.5 printer that should also work on other printers from creality but this has yet to be confirmed) This last one allows to print all kind of filaments including the flexible filament such as tpu. The principle is to put the extruder just above the print head. To do this you will simply need to print the bracket and 2 small spacers provided in the file and install it on the carriage of the x axis as the photo attached. All the tools needed are the original ones for the printer. The operation is really simple anyone can do it without any problem. This does not require any firmware or other parts but you will need to make some adjustments to your slicer (cura for my part) to avoid the extruder hitting the aluminum posts: Once in CURA you go to > your printers (top left) > manage printers > machine settings > then set X (width to 203 mm max and z (height) to 210 mm max Now you are ready to print in direct drive
