Direct Drive Filament Runout Sensor Mount
thingiverse
I got a Creality brand filament runout sensor and it came with a bracket for Bowden drive extruders. I have converted my Ender 3 to direct drive so I made this mount to hold the sensor. It uses a standard skateboard bearing to pivot as the print head moves and bolts directly to the sensor with the bolts that came with the sensor. It is held to the top frame with printed twist lock nuts you can find on this site and some screws. The outside of the bearing can be press fit, but the inside required some super glue as it was a little loose.
