Direct Drive Extruder Carriage for Eustathios Spider V2
thingiverse
This carriage is designed for the E3D Titan and E3D V6, with a focus on achieving minimum weight. As a result, the pancake motor and the Titan were chosen. It accommodates a 10mm linear rod, not the 8mm rod used in the original Eustathios V2 design. I also borrowed the concept of two local LEDs from Walter's Minimum Space Invader design. The fan duct snaps into the 5015 radical fan without any fasteners. I printed the parts at a layer height of 0.15mm and 80% infill using PLA. A few components used in the design include: The 5015 Radial Fan 24V: http://www.ebay.com/itm/24V-50mm-Blower-Turbo-Fan-5015-50x50x15mm-cooling-PLA-RepRap-3D-Printer-/262351228368 2W 12V LED modules* - wired in series or parallel depending on your power supply (http://www.dx.com/p/339160?Utm_rid=80235630&Utm_source=affiliate) 10mm Self-aligning bushing: https://www.ultibots.com/10mm-bronze-bearing-4-pack-a-7z41mpsb10m/ Short-body step motor (17HS08-1004S ): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PNEQ79Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
