A direct drive extruder housing and tension hinge. Inspiration has come from many direct drive extruders found here, amongst which: Byteborg's Direct Drive Extruder (big big fan of this) Compact Bowden Extruder One Piece Simple Direct Drive Extruder mariusmartin's direct drive extruder Instructions After looking at so many other designs for direct drive extruders, I figured I'd give it a go myself and came up with this compact design. It includes two M3 holes at the bottom to attach a standard J-head like it's used in the Velleman K8200, although there's no 16mm round ridge. The tensioner is using a standard 624 bearing and the drive is using a basic 13mm hobbed pulley which I bought online. And just as I'm about to finish it and searching for more inspiration, up comes a hit of an australian fellow who pretty much made the exact same thing and has already produced them sighs :( Not very sure if I'll be finishing the design any further, although I've been asking for quotes to get it produced in alu.
