Direct drive cooling duct for BMG and Volcano E3D

This is a cooling duct for a direct drive extruder setup on a CR10 or clone/related 3d printer. This was made to fit the printermods direct-drive plate with a BMG extruder directly attached to the triangle labs dragon hotend. It will also likely work for any E3D form factor connected to a BMG style extruder. These dragon hot ends are beautiful so I designed this to keep the shiny copper core exposed and visible. I also kept me stock LED to put some light on the part as it was being printed. Please excuse the piece of tape holding it in place for now. This also keeps the nozzle visible so you can watch exactly what is going on as the plastic flows. The layer cooling duct wraps around behind and under the X gantry. The 4020 Fan I used was a 24v model available on amazon but it should work with any fan that has sufficient airflow. I printed these parts in Prusa PC Blend for maximum strength and thermal resistance however this should work in nearly any filament as long as the bottom of the cooling duct doesn't get too hot. The cooling duct can be printed without supports but will leave a bit of a rough edge on the low overhang. Please make sure that when you slice the duct models that you are seeing 2 perimeters for all walls. I used a .42 mm perimeter width but what's important is seeing two walls for strength and stability. The shim will help move the BLtouch down 1mm if you find it is too close to your nozzle. I use 1 shim but you may need more or none. Free for non-commercial use.
