Dipping machine

This machine was designed as a test device capable of submerging objects in a solution for coating or cleaning purposes. It functions effectively, but its small dipping space poses challenges when dealing with larger objects or beakers that require more room. The object's movement becomes erratic due to the design of the dip coater, causing it to drift during the dipping process. This test aimed to identify potential issues associated with creating a reliable dip coater. see more projects at http://tinkersprojects.com Operation: After powering the device with 12V DC electricity, users can adjust and view settings on the LCD display and make changes using the three buttons (up, down, and enter). The speed and height of the dipping process are the two adjustable parameters. While in operation, pressing the enter button resets the dip coater. parts list: 1 x PLEX controller 1 x 28byj-48 stepper motor 1 x Gt2 Timing Belt 3 x limit switch interrupt 2 x 20mm M3 screw 2 x 20mm M3 screw 4 x M3 nuts 1 x acrylic base 4 x rubber feet Controller: The PLEX board, available at https://tinkersprojects.com/project/plex-controller/, serves as the controller. It utilizes a 16x2 LCD and buttons to set settings, display speed/distance in real-time during operation, and reset the dipping arm to a specific height using the limit switch. The controller sends a pulse signal to the stepper motor, controlling its movement up and down. https://youtu.be/UinfyG2fyWQ
