Dipole / Inverted V Balun Antenna Centerpiece

Dipole / Inverted V Balun Antenna Centerpiece

This is a dipole / inverted v antenna centerpiece designed for easy integration of a built-in balun. Measuring 64 x 32 mm internally, it provides ample space for small to medium-sized baluns. I've successfully paired mine with a toroidal current balun wound on a 32 x 16 x 8 core, allowing me to operate at 100 watts without any issues. The external dimensions of the centerpiece measure 80 x 58 mm. To complete this project, you'll need an SO-239 connector and two 45mm M6 screws along with nuts and washers. Additionally, you'll need to wind your balun according to your desired specifications. Please note that the thread on my printer comes out quite tight. To avoid stripping the threads, do not try to screw it in completely right after printing. Instead, rotate it back and forth a few times to allow the threads to grind properly. I've observed that the STL files come out relatively large, likely due to the tolerance settings being too high. However, they print just fine as is, and I'm unsure if more accurate models would introduce issues with threading or other components. If you have any thoughts on this matter, feel free to share them in the comments.
