Dipole antenna housing for QAV-X/Realacc X210
thingiverse
FPV quadcopters are often weighed down by unnecessary bulk. Weight reduction enthusiasts know that swapping out an old VTx circular-polarized antenna for a simple dipole antenna is a straightforward way to shed 10-15 grams without sacrificing flight performance. Despite being robust and resilient, these dipole antennas frequently disconnect or break at the UFL connector or coax setting. In crashes, they can also bend and get caught in propellers. This little protection device makes your dipole antenna as tough as needed while adding only 1.6 grams of weight. It also prevents the antenna from flexing and getting cut by props. If you're like me and spend more time walking to the crash site than flying, this is a must-have. The current model fits perfectly into QAV-X/Realacc X210 frames but can be adapted to other frames as well. If you need a custom design, just ask. Happy flying!
